WMA – the popular Windows Media Audio format owned by Microsoft.
AC3 – Microsoft audio format, with lossless sound quality and large file size.
AU – the standard audio file format used by Sun, Unix and Java.
M4A/MP4 – MPEG-4 audio most often AAC but sometimes MP2/MP3, MPEG-4 SLS, CELP, HVXC and other audio object types defined in MPEG-4 Audio.
